Watch the video: Mental Health Moment: Connection-Seeking Behaviors

In today's fast-paced world, many of us seek connection to feel understood and supported. Sometimes connection-seeking behaviors can overlap with attention-seeking. These behaviors can be big or small, but the intention behind them is the same: the desire to fulfill an unmet need in a relationship.

Recognizing these behaviors is important for healthy relationships to grow and develop. When someone reaches out, it's a sign that they need to feel a connection. Responding with empathy and understanding can make a big difference. If someone frequently seeks attention in ways that feel overwhelming, gently encourage them to explore healthier ways to connect and seek support.

Connection is a fundamental human need. Let's respond with empathy and understanding and make a positive difference in each other's lives.
