AUBURN, Ind. – Aug. 27, 2025 – Orthopedic surgeon Michael Rosen, DO, Parkview Physicians Group (PPG) – Orthopedics, is now providing state-of-the-art care for patients in Auburn at 1316 E. 7th Street, Entrance 8, on the Parkview DeKalb Hospital campus.
“We are pleased to announce that Dr. Rosen is expanding his practice to serve DeKalb County residents,” said Julie McCormick, market president, Parkview Health Northeast. “Since he joined Parkview in the spring, he has been caring for patients in Steuben County and now his expertise will also make a significant impact for patients here who have a wide range of orthopedic conditions.”
Dr. Rosen received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. Following medical school, he completed his residency in orthopedics at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital/Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan, serving as chief orthopedic surgery resident during his final year.
“I was drawn to orthopedics because I found fulfillment in helping patients regain their quality of life, improve pain and return from injury,” said Rosen.
Pursuing additional post-graduate training, he completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship through Andrews Research and Education Foundation in Gulf Breeze, Florida, where he worked with renowned surgeon Dr. James Andrews. Rosen’s training also focused on regenerative medicine.
Prior to medical school, he pursued his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University, receiving bachelor’s degrees in both nutritional science and human biology.
Rosen is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery with subspecialty certification in orthopedic sports medicine.
He holds membership in multiple professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), the Indiana Orthopedic Society (IOS) and Fort Wayne Medical Society (FWMS), among others.
“My approach to patient care is holistic, focusing on the whole person and thoroughly addressing their needs based on their occupation and hobbies,” Rosen said. “I strive to provide comprehensive care, including operative and non-operative treatments, while empowering patients to make informed decisions for improved quality of life.”
Away from the office, he enjoys family time with his wife and three children, watching sports, and outdoor recreational activities such as golfing and spending time on the lake.
Rosen has cared for area residents for more than five years. This spring, he began welcoming patients at his PPG – Orthopedics office at 3270 Intertech Dr., Angola. In Auburn, Rosen will see patients in the office on Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., and perform surgeries at Parkview DeKalb Hospital.
