Many of us love a good jigsaw puzzle as a means of relaxation. But, while it’s easy to focus on the finished product, I encourage people to pick up a single piece, put it in their hand and look at it like they've never seen it before.

Why? That's the way that life comes to us, in bits and pieces. Sometimes, the darkest moment of our lives and some of the greatest joys come in bite size.

I like to be curious, and curiosity helps me to ride the waves and the storms because I don't know what I don't know about what I don't know. And so when I look at the puzzle piece, when I pick it up, and I think to myself, how is it all connected? I'm pretty sure it is.

If I flip the puzzle piece over, and I look at the matte side or the non-colored side, I begin to see things a little bit different, and it reminds me that there are lots of things in life that I really don't understand how it's all connected.
